Durham Skyland Magnuson Hotel

The owner and the staff were very nice and friendly. The price was right. The room was clean and modern. The setting was very quiet. The front window curtains blew up and out when you turned on the heat so you had to open them to get heat to blow into the room. As people walked by outside they could see into your room as a result. Nice pleasant hotel close to Duke University - off the beaten path so it was nice and quiet.

I would stay at this hotel again for the economy, it served it's purpose. If I was going to vacation I would choose a nicer hotel.

This is a really clean hotel, both in room and public area.

The door had a huge crack all the way around the frame, if it had rained, the floor would have been soaked due to the huge gap. The windows were screwed to the frame so you could not open them. The bed was horribly uncomfortable and out dated as the rest of the room, very dark and dreary room. I truly enjoyed my stay at the Best Western Skyland. The staff was most friendly and helpful, the rooms were cleaned daily.
